Another Man's Shoes Item Preview. EMBED for wordpress. On February 2, , Lipinskya's first book in English will be read by Atria Bestler, and the second part, Days, will be released in , coinciding with the sequel Lipinska is co-writing, and Lipinska has confirmed that the film will be even steamier than the first days part 2 book. In case you need a recollection of what happened, Massimo Torricelli Michele Morrone kidnaps Laura Biel Anna Maria Sieklucka on her trip to Italy to save the rather, ahem, subversive relationship between Laura and Massimo and gives her days to fall in love with him.

The film ends with a cliffhanger in which Laura Biel played by Anna Maria Sieklucka returns to the Italian mafia after an ambush in a tunnel. Their kidnapper is none other than the head of the most powerful Sicilian criminal family, the handsome young Don Massimo Torricelli, determined to possess Laura at all costs. The film does not and will not reveal whether Laura is alive or dead, giving fans of the original hope that she will escape her fate in the sequel.

It may be disappointing to learn that Laura is kidnapped by another man and falls in love with him in the second book. As mentioned above, the third part includes Laura, who needs a heart transplant, Massimos, who kills her dog and sends her in a box, Laura, who becomes an alcoholic, and Laura, who becomes pregnant. The pregnant bride's vehicle drives into a tunnel in the Italian countryside but never leaves it.

The story ends with a silly cliffhanger, which I will discuss shortly. The prologue, which is rather pointless because it recycles word for word a scene that we have already seen in DNI this time by Massimos POV to increase the number of words, and it does so because it shows that there is nothing new to redeem the bad things that the hero did in the first book. From there, Ten Dzien switches to Laura's POV for chapter 1, which starts exactly where Dni ended, with Laura telling Massimo that she is prego, Massimo crying that his plan to catch her works, and everything is good.

I think this scene is meant to prove that Massimo has feelings, but it's just a failed attempt that makes him look like a fake robot. As the story is taken from the second book in the series, it is likely to begin after the events of the first film, when Laura is pregnant. The book also introduces the British twins and Massimo, meaning that fans who have fallen in love with Massimo will have to fulfil a double duty as Massimo.

According to Lipinska, the day trilogy was born of personal frustration. Taken as a whole, she sees her books as feminist warning stories. At this point, I'm sad that the heroines don't die or get kidnapped.
