I down load map pack from this site and it comes up in winrar and so I extract it to a folder I made and drag and drop stg and dds in the zip media folder and I start game up and choose the modded map and I hit play and an error box comes up and says "ok"and I hit that and nothing happens, any advice on what I need to do? Do I need to clear cache? First, DON'T use your media. Second, you have the wrong map version for your game. Either you play latest stable and your map is for Legacy or vice versa It's media.

I currently have over 40 maps installed, not counting the orignals that were downloaded with the game. If you install them correctly you will have no issues with the game. I just can't understand seeing thread after thread of wanting the maps put in the workshop. They are readily available to everyone. You want maps, figure it out and install them. People need to realize how big those map files are and I'm sure there is a limit to the overall capacity Steam allows for a game.

Those maps are probably quickly pulled off the workshop for that reason. But I guess kids have to have a one button click to get everything they want nowadays. My point is there really is no reason not to have maps in the workshop. Space Engineers so far the only early acess game I have purchased that has been worth the money has entire planets that have been uploaded to the workshop and can be downloaded with a single click.
