Signal security app cant download MMS message

I saw the fix in that thread by changing Advanced MMS settings in Signal, but I don't have that option in my settings. That's not the same behavior as in Over there appears an exception. Here the download seems to start or to be initiated and then nothing more is logged about it.

That seems strange. I'm seeing this with Android 6. Not sure if this points to a bug in Signal or Android 6. They seem to fail to download only when Signal is the default messaging app? Thank you! Amazing news. I can't wait to send out my mass text saying, "you can now set Signal as your default again! If anything, the situation seems worse than before, because before, I could tap the message, restart the phone, tap the message again, and the message would then download and appear correctly, but that is now not working.

I also seem unable to send group texts to non-signal users ; likely unrelated but I mention it because you may see this in the debug log. Done, thanks. I'd open up a separate issue. I somehow got it fixed on my oneplus! Not sure exactly what fixed it, but I think the most important thing was downloading "Carrier Services" from the google play store. I followed the troubleshooting suggestions below as well and made sure I gave signal unrestricted access to everything and also restarted a few times. Hope this helps! Skip to content. So frustrating! Experiencing this issue with Signal 4. When MMS arrive, You guys check: if! With "Signal messages and calls" enabled, MMS are downloaded and displayed correctly.
